BOGOTÁ, Colombia – In a spectacular gala held this Sunday, June 14, at the Salón Rojo Convention Center of the Four Points by Sheraton (Tequendama) hotel in Bogotá, South Africa’s representative, Chrizmie Mostert, was officially crowned Teen Model World No. 9, cementing her place at the top of international youth modeling.
The prestigious pageant brought together around 30 contestants from different corners of the globe, all arriving in the Colombian capital with the dream of winning the coveted title in their respective categories.
A Night Inspired by The Great Gatsby and Solidarity
The event kicked off with a dazzling opening full of lights, sparkle, and a stunning 1920s Gatsby-style theme, where the contestants showcased their charisma during their first runway walks.
One of the most meaningful highlights of the evening was the charity runway. All funds raised during this segment will go entirely to the Mini World Foundation, supporting the various social welfare programs and aid projects continuously led by the organization.
The Path to the Crown
The competition moved forward with the evening gown competition, an elegant segment featuring a live performance by singer Samantha Romero, who set the musical backdrop for the moment and accompanied the contestants during their final look.
Following a tight competition, the highly anticipated Top 8 was announced, with the beautiful South African queen successfully making the cut, standing out for her grace, elegance, and confidence. The ultimate climax of the night arrived in the final, decisive moments when Chrizmie Mostert (South Africa) and Teen Peru stood hand-in-hand on the main stage.
